Leftover Bricks? Privacy Policy

Information we process

• Lookups: Set and part numbers and the recognition candidates you select are used to return results and possible instruction steps. No account is required.
• Recognition photos: Only when you take or select photos and start recognition does the app convert up to two photos to JPEG and send them to our Cloudflare backend, which forwards them to Brickognize. A crop may also be sent for a single-photo request. Photos can contain people or other personal information in the background; please photograph only the brick.
• Usage and diagnostics: The app creates a random installation ID by default and sends limited events, including feature actions, set numbers, result states, request duration, app and OS versions, and language. Our database stores that ID, session and request IDs, and these fields to operate the service, troubleshoot problems, and understand usage. Our application database does not store recognition photos or unrestricted text.
• Reminders: Set numbers you choose for reminders remain on the device. The app checks support status and shows local notifications only with system permission.

Providers, international processing, and retention

Cloudflare hosts our backend and database. Brickognize receives recognition photos and returns candidate matches. These providers may process data outside mainland China. Our backend forwards photos to Brickognize; it does not intentionally send the random installation ID with those photos.

Our application code does not write photos to our project database after a recognition request. Brickognize's published terms allow it to store and reuse uploaded content, including for model training, and to receive removal requests. Those terms do not specify a fixed deletion period. We cannot promise immediate deletion by Brickognize or that it will not use photos for training. Do not upload faces, identity documents, or other private information.

Our usage and request records have a scheduled cleanup for records older than 30 days; a backlog may delay actual deletion. Unsent events may remain on your device for up to seven days, with a limit of 200. Cloudflare platform logs and database recovery history may be retained under its service rules. If you email us, we keep the correspondence needed to address your request.

Your choices and rights

You can enter a part number instead of using photo recognition and can withdraw camera, photo, or notification permissions in system settings. Email us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights. We will verify and handle requests under applicable law and explain or help forward removal requests concerning independently held third-party data.
